Living out the Ripple Effect

Why restart this blog?

Why "rebrand" my social media presence?

Because I'm currently finding myself riding the crazy waves of a ripple effect; and I don't know where it is going to bring me!

Over the past few years I have come to believe this truth more and more: One small change in my life can lead to significant changes in one, or even several areas of life!

Not sure you believe that? Think if it like this.

Stop drinking coffee after noon = sleep better at night. This allows me to get up early and spend some significant quiet time listening to God. In that time of silence, He reveals an idea to make one small change to our church online platform. I decide to make that change. Someone that Saturday uses that new feature and gives their life to Jesus! All because I stopped drinking coffee in the afternoon!

One toxic social media post I read online = an angry night of sleeplessness. Wake up exhausted and cranky. Jump quickly into meetings without centring my heart with God for the day ahead. Leave meetings frustrated and upset that I couldn't get the others to see understand my point of view. Spend the rest of the day still angry. All from a social media post.

One small stone dropped in the water can change so much in our lives and impact others' lives around us. That's the ripple effect!

Here in the year 2020 there are a lot of the little rocks constantly falling in the calm ponds of our lives. Some of these rocks make positive ripples. Others make negative ones. Which ones will have the most momentum in our day?

That is what I'm hoping to explore in my blog, YouTube Channel and social media. All from different perspectives based on the strength of the platform.

Life. Learn. Lead. That is what I want to unpack.

In March 2020, I moved out of my nice, comfortable office in our church building, to begin, what I believed was going to be a few short weeks of working from my basement. Moving our entire ministry online in 5 short days was a crazy whirlwind that I barely recall how we survived.

Once we completed that and I was able to catch my breath, I spent a quiet afternoon in my favourite chair. I felt deep in my soul that God wanted to do a BIG WORK in me. This was going to hit every area of my being, my physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Not sure if it was a prompting of God or just too much late night pizza the night before, but I embraced the journey.

The past 15 weeks have been NUTS!!! But God truly is at work in ways I could never even imagine!

That is what this rebranding is for.

And I would like to invite you to join me on the journey.

I'll be using Facebook, YouTube and this blog to encourage one another. You can find those here:
I hope you'll be blessed as we sit back and see where this ripple effect is taking us together.
